I am sat here writing my final blog of the year and what a year it has been! We have had to overcome obstacles that we have never faced before and we have had to search for jobs in a climate where everyone was being furloughed or losing their jobs. As I have said so many times before, our Future Finders just saw this as another challenge. They overcame it though and surpassed any expectations and aspirations that they had set themselves.
In celebration of all their achievements, yesterday we held our ‘Health Festival’ and then our celebration afternoon. It was great to listen to all the Future Finders talk about the journeys they have made throughout New Bridge and what they will be going on to.
Now, I didn’t get many pictures of the health festival (our amazing Digit4ll team have taken plenty and are putting them together for us to showcase on all our social media platforms) but I did get pictures of our Future Finders standing up and talking proudly about what they have achieved and their future plans.
You can also now find the full presentation here.
I am so proud of all of your accomplishments! Well done!
I would also like to say thank you to both Maria and Diane who have supported Future Finders over the last year! We could not have done it without you, so thank you.
Finally, thank you to all the parents, guardians and carers who have worked with us to ensure the best outcomes for the students. It has been a bit of bumpy ride but we got there!
I will leave you with something that one of our students put in their leaver’s speech….
“It saddens me to say, this is the very last time that I’ll been seeing all of you, including some of my favourite staff members. But I really had fun being here with you.
This is NOT a goodbye from me at Future Finders, it’s farewell. Thank you to everyone!”
Have a brilliant Summer everyone – let’s hope this glorious weather continues!
Good luck with all your future endeavours, keep in touch!
