Just a quick catch up from Future Finders this week as they continue to work remotely and their engagement with their virtual sessions is great!

We start off our days with remote learning again and discuss the work for the day ahead and do some well-being work!

  • Employability

All work for Employability is continually accessed on Showbie. This week there has been a focus on Customer Service. What is good customer service? How do we need to act around customers? How does Customer Service affect a business?

As mentioned in my last blog, there is now a Well-Being folder on our Showbie group with different tips on how to keep our minds and bodies healthy. My challenge for you all this week is to get out of your bedrooms, away from your screens and go for a walk! Get some fresh air!

I am continuing to put opportunities on Showbie in our Jobs folder for all students to access and remember your CV’s are on there for you as well.

We have done some more home visits over the last couple of weeks and it is great to see you all. We will probably be out again next week collecting your Maths and English mock papers, so we will see you all again in person next week. It is great to see you and your families. I cannot thank you all enough for your support and understanding, but as we mention every time we speak, if you need anything, please let us know!

We have also talked about changes to your timetable next week to incorporate your new English and Math sessions. This all starts on Monday.

I asked you to do a video for me about how Lockdown 3 is going for you. I have had some responses to this and I am hoping to share some of these with you next week! 😊

You have struggled at times this week, but you continue to show your resilience and understanding of what is happening and why. I would like to say a massive thank you to all Future Finders for just getting on with things.

To finish off our blog on a positive note, we have two ‘Worker of the Week’ awards to give out:

One to Jade for completing work independently for her Customer Service unit of her Employability Qualification. Well done Jade!

Our second award goes to Jermaine for engaging in session in College, completing work and achieving 10/10 on his spelling test. Well done Jermaine!
